Millwright Mechanic

Proactive Problem Solver Needed As our licensed Millwright Mechanic, you will help us to provide production, lab, and office staff with timely and effective service to minimize downtime and keep machinery and equipment functioning in a safe and efficient manner. Experience should include, but not be limited to: knowledge of air and electric power tools, welding torches, milling machines and lathes, drill presses, band saws, pipe threader etc. Led by the Maintenance Supervisor, this opportunity will suit someone with excellent troubleshooting skills who loves the challenge of repairing and maintaining mechanical equipment.

Shift Available Day Shift: Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday, 6:00am to 4:30pm.

• Repair breakdowns on all equipment and machinery, safely effectively and timely to minimize downtime and costs to company.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all machinery and equipment throughout the facility.
• Complete assigned projects including planning design or modifications to new and existing machinery, installing new piping systems, rebuilding current equipment etc.
• Design and fabricate parts for machinery throughout the building including welding, machining, carpentry etc.
• Perform designated daily, weekly, or monthly checks on safety systems such as the fire protection, shower and eyewash stations, emergency exits and lights, compressors etc.
• Assist or team with fellow maintenance staff on breakdowns, projects, and preventative maintenance functions. Also train line operators on machine set-up.
  Assist in sourcing out parts for equipment and machinery.
• Always maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Perform some electrical functions as comfortable with doing those duties.

Were looking for:

• Must possess Industrial Millwright Mechanic 433A certificate with a minimum of 5 years experience.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability and experience to repair the problem.
• Ability to identify potential problems and provide corrective/preventative solutions.
• Ability to drive skyjack, genie boom and lift trucks.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with Team Members, Contractors etc.
