Estimator – Custom Fabrication & Metalworking

This company is hiring an Estimator with a background in welding and fabrication to develop accurate cost estimates for custom manufacturing projects in a job shop environment.

Responsibilities:

• Review drawings and project specs to assess labor, material, and overhead costs

• Use ERP (Epicor) and Excel to create detailed quotes

• Coordinate with sales, engineering, suppliers, and customers to gather details and clarify scope

• Analyze supplier pricing and negotiate as needed for outsourced materials and services

• Document all estimating activities and participate in project handoffs to production

Requirements:

• Experience estimating in a metal fabrication or welding environment

• Strong skills in Excel and working knowledge of ERP systems

• Comfortable reading blueprints and interpreting technical specs

• Proven background in low-volume, custom job shop work

• Degree preferred, or equivalent mix of education and hands-on experience

• Occasional travel to customer and supplier sites as needed
