Job Summary
Salas O’Brien is seeking a technically proficient and highly organized Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) projects. This role encompasses full project lifecycle management—from design development and permitting through contractor procurement, construction oversight, and project closeout.
The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of MEP systems, proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors, and expertise in maintaining project schedules, budgets, and quality standards. Strong communication and coordination skills are essential to ensure seamless collaboration across design, construction, and client teams.
General Duties:
Marketing/Project Development Phase:
- Define project scope with client and assemble design team.
- Obtain internal budgets and external proposals.
- Prepare and submit design/bid phase proposal; follow up on Purchase Order status.
- Coordinate project setup in VantagePoint and issue internal/external POs.
Design Phase:
- Develop and manage project schedule, directory, and design kickoff.
- Coordinate internal/external meetings and ensure meeting notes are distributed.
- Oversee design site survey and OFCI equipment proposals.
- Submit permits and track project costs vs. budget.
- Prepare bid packages, manage bidder list, and ensure legal agreements are in place.
- Assist in preparing the Construction Phase proposal and support client PO process.
Bid/Construction Phase:
- Manage bid process, respond to RFIs, review bids.
- Set up project in systems; issue POs and notify unselected bidders.
- Lead construction kickoff meetings (with team and client).
- Track owner changes, submittals, and project milestones in Projectmates.
- Conduct regular site visits.

Qualifications:
- You have 5+ years of experience managing engineering and design projects (all phases) for commercial clients across the country
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field or equivalent work experience required
- knowledge of MEP systems and codes
Location : Remote
Travel: 30% - 40% - East & Northeastern States

The expected base salary range for this role is $100,000 - $130,000 USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
