OverviewDue to continued growth, TRC's Field Services Team (FSV) in the Northeast is seeking an additional Field Construction Engineer to support our Northeast Region. Region includes: Northern NY, VT, ME, NH, MA, CT, RI.
Responsibilities- Assist in notifications to open and close daily work; Check the perimeter of the substation/ ROW at the beginning and end of the shift; Call Energy Control Center - Security Operation Center in case of anomalies
- Assist in the preparation of the weekly reports, monthly reports, site weekly minutes of meetings
- Monitor schedule with input from Construction Managers (CMs)
- Attend the contractor’s safety, environment and quality meetings and provide input in the onsite meetings
- Keep on site and updated, the health and safety plan, environment and quality project binder or HASP as provided by contractor
- Be organized and detailed in documenting everything to provide a good paper trail as well as the ability to use all technology and programs used in contract administration as needed by the Construction Manager
- Assist CM with as-built documentation
- Assist CM in the review of contractor invoices and schedules
- Participate in the weekly project progress meeting
- Always be on-site whenever work is being performed (make frequent observation of contractor’s activities and adherence to health and safety regulations and standards; Immediate notification to CM of any and all problems or foreseeable issues throughout construction or any complaint presented by the general public
- Assist CM in coordinating material delivery between customer division storeroom, and contractor
- Inspect all project related construction material for damage and completeness for the project execution
- Inspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications, quality and adherence to construction schedules
- Travel as needed to job sites including clear driver record
Qualifications
- High school diploma required with a combination of education and experience that includes a Bachelor Degree in Civil, Structural, Electrical, and/or Mechcanical Engineering or Construction management with 3 months to 2 years in utilities (T-D) construction or substation field work. Completion of prior TRC Substation Internship is preferred
- Strong organizational, communication and computer skills are required
- Ability and willingness to work safely outside in inclement weather
- Ability and willingness to travel within the Northeast Region as needed (Northern NY, ME, MA, NH, VT, CT, RI)
- Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds of equipment
- Current US Work eligibility is required. No relocation provided.

Compensation : In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.
Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
