Join us, and let's work together to shape the future of telecommunications while enjoying a fulfilling and rewarding career.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eESSENTIAL\u003c/strong\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eDUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:\u003c/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eVerita Telecommunications is seeking a Directional Drill Operator to safely operate a directional drill to place product underground and to work with the Locator to make decision on depths to drill at to avoid hitting underground utilities. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cul\u003e\u003cli\u003eDevelop plan for bore shot with onsite team \u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eComplete Job Site Assessment on every job site. \u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eInspect and maintain all job equipment, including drill equipment and mixing unit. \u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eAssure all safety measures are in place \u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eResponsible for assisting in potholing, remediation, setting hand holes and pulling fiber. \u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eVerify existing utilities. \u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eOperate horizontal drilling equipment for telecommunications projects\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eEnsure all safety protocols and regulations are adhered to during operations\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003e Perform daily maintenance checks on drilling machinery and equipment\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eCoordinate with crew members to ensure efficient workflow on job sites\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eMonitor drilling progress and make adjustments as needed\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eFill out daily logs and reports to document project progress\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eCollaborate with project managers and engineers to meet project timelines\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eOther duties as assigned \u003c/li\u003e\u003c/ul\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eCERTIFICATIONS (OBTAINABLE/RENEWABLE UPON ACCEPTANCE but required):\u003c/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cul\u003e\u003cli\u003eCDL Class A preferred \u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eDriver License Required \u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eOHSA 10 Certification \u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eHigh school diploma, or equivalent \u003c/li\u003e\u003c/ul\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eQUALIFICATIONS:\u003c/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cul\u003e\u003cli\u003eMinimum of 2 years working (Preferred 3 years) with Vermeer or Ditch Witch DDD, or equivalent required.\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eMinimum of 2 years working in telecommunications industry \u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eMechanical aptitude may require the individual to do minor equipment repair work\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eProven experience as a Horizontal Drill Operator or similar role\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eStrong knowledge of horizontal drilling techniques and equipment\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eValid driver's license and clean driving record, CDL preferred\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eAbility to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003ePhysical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eTeam player with strong communication skills\u003c/li\u003e\u003c/ul\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eEssential Physical Demands/Work Environment: \u003c/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cul\u003e\u003cli\u003eAble to work in trenches, manholes, tunnels and confined spaces and in work settings with moderate to loud noise levels.\u003c/li\u003e\u003cli\u003eAble to move in different positions -
