Construction Laborer

Construction Laborer Job Description The candidate will engage in production construction work, primarily focused on building modular trailers from scratch. This role involves repetitive installations as the trailers are uniformly 8 feet. Candidates should be adept at using basic hand and power tools in a fast-paced production environment. Training will be provided on assembly and building techniques, after which candidates are expected to work independently. Responsibilities Participate in production construction tasks. Build modular trailers from scratch. Perform repetitive installations of trailers. Utilize basic hand and power tools efficiently. Work independently after completing training. Essential Skills Proficiency in using hand and power tools. Basic carpentry skills. Understanding of construction and framing processes. Additional Skills & Qualifications Electrical experience is a plus. BC Cabling knowledge. Blueprint reading skills. OSHA 10 or equivalent safety training. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work takes place in a large construction yard, featuring warehouse buildings with 20ft garages to maneuver trailers under a roof during work. Employees will work both inside and outside, with the warehouse doors adapting to weather conditions. The schedule is set from 6am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday, offering a dynamic work setting that adjusts with seasonal changes. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elgin, Illinois. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $28.00/hr.
