Current North Carolina Electrical License
Industrial/commercial electrical experience
Preferred:
Experience working in a healthcare facility
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, safety standards, and troubleshooting techniques

Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
Perform advanced-level electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs
Work on building systems including HVAC, mechanical, utilities, and infrastructure
Support day-to-day operations and emergency repairs in a healthcare environment
Respond to assignments from Plant Engineering Services leadership
Maintain compliance with safety standards, codes, and regulations
Provide technical support for equipment upgrades, replacements, and new installations
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
- Two (2) year college degree in a technical science/trade or equivalent work experience. Three years apprenticeship in the electrical trade. Required.
- Experience:
- Five plus years experience in commercial electrical distribution system installation and maintenance, required.
- Healthcare experience, preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: A city/county journeyman's card and/or an electrician's license from state of employment, required.
- Additional Skills Required: Applied knowledge in the application and practice of life safety, electrical and building codes. Extensive knowledge in repair and installation of electrical equipment, systems and devices. Ability to analytically troubleshoot electronic and electrical equipment, including but not limited to, A/C equipment, switchgear and motor control centers. Extensive knowledge in operations and maintenance of emergency generator sets and transfer switch equipment. Thorough knowledge and skill in the use of electrical testing devices.Thorough knowledge in understanding and utilizing technical service manuals, electrical schematics and blue prints. Valid Driver's License in state of employment.
- Additional Skills Preferred: Knowledge in the operation and repair of mechanical equipment. Thorough knowledge in the use of personal computers and PC programs. Ability to hear and understand verbal communication changes in machine/equipment noises.
