Thalle Construction Co. Inc. (“Thalle”) is seeking a Motor Grader Operator in Thornton, Colorado to support a heavy civil construction project.

Hourly Rate: $36.00 to $42.00, depending on experience and qualifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This position requires availability on weekends and the flexibility to work extended hours as needed to meet operational demands.
• Use self-propelled grader to spread and level dirt, gravel, and stone, to grade specifications in construction and maintenance of roads.
• Shape and finish shoulders and slopes.
• May perform fine or rough grading and be designated Motor Grader, Fine Grade, and Rough Grade
• Coordinate machine actions with other activities, positioning, or moving loads in response to hand or audio signals from crew members.
• Take action to avoid potential hazards or obstructions, such as utility lines, other equipment, other works, or falling objects.
• Check fuel supplies at sites to ensure adequate availability.
• Monitor operations to ensure that health and safety standards are met.
• Conduct business with 100% integrity and professionalism.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
• Minimum of 5 years experience in finish grading required.
• Must demonstrate the ability to operate the motor grader.
• Heavy civil construction experience preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Must be able to follow directions.
• Must be detail oriented, organized, focused, self-motivated, possess good work ethic and be a team player.
• Ability to travel as needed**
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
• Must be able to work outdoors on various terrain in a wide range of weather conditions.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone.
