Maintains and improves grounds conditions. Keeps barns, grandstand, and other buildings safe and presentable by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Maintains and rebuilds barns, general offices, sales pavilion, grandstand, and fences as needed.
- Replaces ceiling and floor tile.
- Works with concrete and similar products.
- Install, maintain, repair, and replace locks, door closers and other door hardware.
- Maintain and repair overhead doors.
- Provide on call service to horsemen and consigners in the barns.
- Roofing repair and replacement.
- Operate equipment such as forklift, skid loaders, roller, tractor, and truck.
- Install and repair rubber brick and other safety flooring products.
- Performs general maintenance ground work mucking stalls and whatever else is needed.
- Performs other miscellaneous tasks such as hanging pictures, putting up tent frames, and furniture repair.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Five years maintenance experience.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Basic mathematic skills including a knowledge of geometry to determine materials needed and maximize their use.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
A valid driver's license and a Kentucky Horse Racing Authority License.
