EDA Project Coordinator

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the point of contact for specific development, events, and projects, ensuring timely communication between stakeholders and resolving barriers to progress
  • Manage all phases of real estate projects, including site feasibility, entitlement, design, financing, lease management, construction, and close-out
  • Coordinate Neighborhood Design District (NDD) initiatives
  • Coordinate the work of consultants, architects, engineers, and contractors
  • Prepare and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, risk assessments, and milestone reports
  • Coordinate interdepartmental teams (e.g. planning, zoning, engineering, legal) to support project implementation and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Conduct or attend community meetings, City Council hearings, and stakeholder briefings
  • Answer inquiries from businesses, community members, and employees on City grant and incentive programs
  • Assist in the planning, coordinating, and execution of the City's Strategic Plan as it relates to economic development
  • Assist economic development staff with education and promotional support to stakeholders for successful and vibrant commercial districts. This shall include, but not be limited to, seminars, events, marketing, and other activities that encourage people to visit, shop, and live locally.
  • Manage EDA digital accounts, including but not limited to, website, newsletter, Facebook, and LinkedIn
  • Assist the City of Winchester Communications Department in communicating information to various media outlets, civic groups, and social media
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree or relevant education is required, and/or with two to four years of experience in economic development, project management, urban planning, real estate, or related fields.
  • Experience in a government or quasi-public setting is preferred.
  • Extensive experience in public relations, public administration, or similar fields is necessary.
  • Valid driver's license
