Summary of Role

The role involves performing panel assembly and wiring with additional responsibilities for field installation support, I/O checkout, and circuit debugging. This requires advanced technical knowledge and skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform panel assembly and wiring according to schematics and specifications
  • Install labels and tags on panels and components
  • Read and understand electrical schematics
  • Maintain shop and jobsite cleanliness and organization
  • Support the Project Management team, Engineering staff, and Principal Electricians as needed
  • Perform functional circuit debug and checkout
  • Identify and redline errors in schematics
  • Provide installation wiring support as required
  • Assist with I/O checkout upon completion of field wiring

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical school training or Associate's degree preferred
  • 2 years of experience in panel building, electrical assembly, or similar field
  • Strong ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics
  • Experience with functional testing, debugging, and I/O checkout
  • Current knowledge of electrical codes, safe wiring practices, and safety procedures
  • Familiarity with customer-specific requirements for industrial panels
  • Field installation experience preferred
  • Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Language Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, procedure manuals, and complex electrical schematics.
Location and Environment
  • On-site with occasional field work
  • Panel fabrication facility and customer locations
Physical Demands
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands for fine assembly work
  • Frequently required to lift and move items up to 50 pounds
  • May require bending, stooping, kneeling, crawling, and reaching
  • Good near vision required for detailed assembly and debugging work
  • May work in various environmental conditions during field work
