Sales Estimator

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Salesperson/Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential and commercial construction estimating and sales, with the ability to analyze project specifications, generate project leads, build relationships, manage strategic communications with existing and prospective clients, develop accurate cost estimates and close sales. This role requires a solid understanding of construction processes, contracts, customer service and cost control measures.

*Pay will be salary plus commission based on experience. Vehicle and company card will be provided.

Responsibilities:
*Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing drawings, specifications, and other documentation.
*Collaborate with client, project managers and construction teams to gather necessary information for estimates.
*Conduct negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
*Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle to ensure adherence to budgets.
*Review contracts and scope of work to identify potential risks and opportunities for cost savings.
*Provide support during the bidding process by preparing bid proposals and presenting estimates to clients, building strong relationships.
*Maintain organized records of all estimates, correspondence, and project documentation.
*Able to navigate Microsoft Office and ProCore Construction Software

Experience:
*Proven experience in residential and commercial construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction management principles. Artificial turf experience/knowledge would be a bonus, however, not required.
*Familiarity with cost control practices and pricing strategies within the construction industry.
*Experience working on construction sites is highly desirable, providing insight into practical applications of estimates.
*Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with customers. subcontractors and vendors.
*Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all estimates and sales provided.
