Introduction:

We are looking for an enthusiastic Project Engineer to work with our grinding team assisting Project Managers with project execution tasks and technical support. Our equipment is quite specialised so finding the right person is of the utmost importance to us.

This position is located in our West Perth office. We are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options.

Team you belong to:

You will join a team of Project Engineers, Coordinators and Project Managers, based in Australia. Together, we are currently working on some large group projects.

What you'll do:

  • Effective management of portions of our client contract, with a focus on the scope of the contract. This involves aligning Metso project supply with client scope and specifications.
  • Maintaining and building strong client relationships throughout the project and post completion.
  • Preparation and issue of project technical and commercial documents.
  • Document control activities.
  • Involvement in logistics activities.
  • Compliance with HSE procedures & maintain HSE focus for project duration.
  • Assisting with the design, procurement and fabrication activities to meet the project schedule.
  • Be aware of and identify project risks. Participate in Risk Reviews.
  • Cost control - review costs against budget.
  • Reporting on the progress in an accurate timely manner.
  • Schedule management.
  • Assisting in the procurement process and participate in internal and client project meetings as required.
  • Participate in lessons learned / nonconformance investigations for resolution and future implementation.

Who you are

  • Engineering degree and/or ideally 3+ years working experience in project roles with an engineering or technical background.
  • Ability to work across under pressure in diverse groups within a multinational organisation is essential.
  • Ability to edit/update AutoCAD drawings
  • SolidWorks experience beneficial
  • A self-starter with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Strong experience across the MS Office suite of applications
  • Good knowledge of databases such as EDM, SAP or equivalent.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings.
  • Excellent time management, planning and organisation skills.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and within a team.
