JOURNEYMAN INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICIAN
This position will provide individuals the opportunity to work on critical infrastructure projects at large hydro-electric facilities. The Journeyman Electrician performs installation and maintenance work or any combination thereof, under the supervision of the jobsite Supervisor. Install, troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices. Tasks will vary based on site requirements. This position requires frequent travel to various job sites for extended periods of time.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
These duties are those typically performed in this position. Employee may not perform all the listed duties and/or may be required to perform additional or different duties.
Performs installation and maintenance tasks as assigned
Maintains NEC requirements during installation of branch circuits, power distribution wiring, electrical equipment, fixtures, and conduits
Troubleshoots and repairs existing electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures
Performs scheduled Preventative Maintenance of electrical systems and equipment
Provides input and advises jobsite Supervisor regarding job progress and material/labor requirements
Reads, understands, and adheres to project design drawings, specifications, and wiring diagrams
Maintains accurate and thorough documentation of work performed and processes involved
Identifies and works well with other trades regarding planning, tasking and installation
Work as a team member or alone to complete projects
Observe strict company/customer safety standards and meet all electrical codes
Make decisions based on technical documents
Work within and promote corporate vision, mission, and values of the organization
Performs other duties as assigned
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND EDUCATION
The following generally describes the knowledge and ability required to enter the job and/or learned within a short period of time to successfully perform the assigned duties.
High School diploma or equivalent is required
Electrical Journeymen card (Required)
Washington Electrical Journeymen card - EL01 (Preferred)
Thorough knowledge of the National Electrical Code and of the principles of electricity
Minimum four years (8,000 hours) of documented experience in all phases of electrical work, including rough wiring, power distribution wiring, wiring of electrical equipment and fixtures, and installation of conduit is required
Ability to diagnose electrical issues and to maintain, adjust, repair, and replace electrical systems and components
Ability and willingness to work outside in environmentally challenging conditions
Knowledge and ability to read design drawings and wiring diagrams
Experience working up to 480 volts is required; experience working with voltages up to 4160 volts is desired
Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and other technical documents
Experience in heavy construction and maintenance of commercial and/or industrial facilities
Experience with or certification on NFPA 70E: Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace is desired
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Must be able to meet all safety requirements for applicable safety policies
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Perform strenuous physical labor in an outdoor environment during all seasons
Lifting/carrying objects 50 lbs. or more
Lifting from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead
Frequent standing, walking, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, crouching/squatting, crawling up to 8+ hours per day
Frequent climbing multiple flights of stairs
Climbing and maintaining balance on ladders or stools reaching in all directions
Handling and manipulating objects and materials
Coordinating the movements of eyes, hands and fingers
Seeing with or without correction
