Project Manager/Estimator

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage projects to ensure profitability

• Participate in project resource planning

• Monitor and improve crew productivity

• Identify and pursue bidding opportunities

• Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare estimates

• Obtain quotes from vendors and subcontractors

• Collaborate with engineers for final project design

• Adhere to and enforce company policies and safety procedures

• Ensure proper use and maintenance of company equipment

• Interpret project plans and specifications

• Oversee projects from bidding through completion

Qualifications:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in heavy highway, bridge, and/or railroad construction

• Proficiency in reading engineering plans and specifications

• Basic computer skills for reporting and communication

• Experience with estimating software (HCSS Heavy Bid preferred)

• Familiarity with accounting software and job cost tracking

• Strong focus on safety standards and practices

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

• Ability to obtain necessary site clearances (e.g., E-railsafe)

• Understanding of heavy equipment such as cranes, excavators, and pile drivers
