Overview :
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for reviewing photovoltaic solar system designs for electrical integrity and code compliance. This involves the interconnection of PV systems to existing electrical infrastructure on a high volume of primarily residential solar projects. Additionally, in the design of DC & AC electrical systems, the Electrical Engineer will perform calculations which may include, but are not limited to, Single & Three Phase System Calculations, Arc Fault Studies, & Electrical Load Calculations.
Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze electrical integrity for a high volume of residential rooftop solar designs
- Research engineering requirements for potential new markets
- Provide Electrical Engineering support for sales, designers, permit coordinators, installers, and others in the professional engineering team.
- Provide onsite field inspections and electrical observation reports when requested
- Ability to make independent engineering decisions as required
- Work with AHJ as needed for special requirements
- Special projects as needed (engineering SOP, new product research, MPU reduction, etc.)
- Manage the design and build out of software solutions to complex engineering issues.
- Provide final approval and stamping on projects as required.
Qualifications:
- Professional Electrical Engineering certification in one or more states is required.
- Additional licenses in other state(s) preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
- Excellent knowledge of various code references (i.e., IBC, NEC).
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal.

Starting salary/wage for this opportunity:
