The Role: The Senior Mechanical Engineer applies principles of mechanics and energy to the design and production of various mechanical systems through developing mechanical and electromechanical products, analyzing problems to see how mechanical and thermal devices might help solve a particular problem and designing and conducting experiments, as well as analyzing and interpreting data. Responsibilities: Strategic Planning: Develop long term goals and objectives for the Mechanical Engineering department Identify and prioritize projects and initiatives to achieve departmental goals Monitor industry trends and anticipate potential challenges or opportunities Work with upper management to align departmental goals with overall company strategy Project Management: Plan, execute, and oversee projects related to process optimization, product development, and equipment upgrades Establish project timelines, budgets, and deliverables Coordinate with cross functional teams to ensure project success Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to meet goals and deadlines Communication and Reporting: Maintain regular communication with upper management to provide updates on departmental performance and projects Prepare and present reports to stakeholders on key performance indicators, project status, and budget updates Communicate with external stakeholders, such as clients or regulatory agencies, as needed. Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with at least 5 years experience, with at least 2 years experience as a people manager or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts. Previous experience as a Business Development Specialist in a related industry. Proficiency in integrated business management and CRM software. Advanced knowledge of business development, marketing strategies, and brand expansion. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Project Management Professional (PMP): This certification is valuable for engineers who wish to move into project management roles.
