MAIN RESPONSABILITIES
Key accountabilities
Application of the instructions and installation method statements from his management to deliver, erect, installation works and tests achievement in the optimal conditions: quality and health and safety.
The installation worker reports directly to the POS Foreman / Team Leader and is in charge of making sure that the power supply equipment is installed in conformity with the installation procedures, the machines and tools user rules and the Time Schedule in place.
His duties include the follow up of the service of the machines and tools and maintain the highest level of availability.
He alerts and reports to the management - Supervisor or Team Leader - on any concerns he has related to the job he has to perform, and especially regarding: EHS, Quality, Access, Customer / Consultant requirement, etc.
Preparation Phase:
Secure the logistic conditions of the mission (technical documents, tools, vehicle and availability of the material).
Have a very good knowledge of all tests described on the procedure, schematics and technical documents.
Check that the testing tools (tester, multi-meter, oscilloscope, measuring instrument, ) are in perfect working order and calibrated.
Before starting the T&C activities:
In agreement with the site manager, make sure that safety rules for working are met.
If necessary, supervise the installation work and coordinate activities while ensuring compliance with installation and safety instructions.
Execution Phase:
Carry out tests in accordance with the procedures.
In the event of a problem, the POS Installation and T&C Manager is informed and decides for further actions
Replace the defective equipment and ensure it's replaced in accordance with Alstom processes (right software and hardware version), recommissioning of the new part.
In the event of a non-conformity observed during the commissioning, make a return of experience feedback (REX) towards the POS Installation and T&C Manager, and ensure that all design related issues are correctly reported in the adequate tools, including the defect description and associated test context
Follow-up of any non-compliance until the point is fully closed.
Perform all activities mentioned above in QCD (Quality Cost Delay) and therefore have always in mind respect of the budget and find solutions to decrease time of activities.
Outputs:
Perform the reporting of all activities.
Establish and classify a commissioning or intervention report including evidences and punch list which is validated by the POS Installation and T&C Manager.
Delivery
Report of the service of the machines and tools and their consumption
Report his hours and material consumption
He/she must be based onshore, on site, typically in the Project Leading Unit.

Educational Requirements
Mandatory
- Power Supply installation experience and degree of electrician with Qualified certificate electrician License
Desirable
Certification on Railway Safety
Certification on Site EHS management
Experience

If he is in charge of the machines or tools service, validated experience and license in these activities.
Desirable
Previous T&C or Maintenance for Railway POS is an asset.
