AV Sales Design Engineer Hybrid - Boston, MA Full-Time | AV Engineering Team Reports to: Sales Engineering Manager About the Role We're hiring a client-facing AV Sales Design Engineer to support enterprise-level AV projects. This role is ideal for someone with strong pre-sales engineering experience, deep knowledge of bid development, and the ability to engage confidently with enterprise clients. You'll be a strategic technical partner to our sales teamdesigning scalable AV solutions that meet complex business needs and drive client success. What You'll Do Lead Enterprise Discovery: Conduct in-depth technical discovery sessions with enterprise clients to understand AV needs, workflows, and infrastructure. Design Scalable AV Solutions: Create tailored AV system designs using platforms like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Crestron, Q-SYS, and Extron. Drive Pre-Sales Strategy: Collaborate with sales to develop competitive bids, respond to RFPs/RFIs, and support proposal creation with technical accuracy and strategic insight. Present to Stakeholders: Deliver persuasive presentations to client stakeholders, including IT leaders, architects, and consultants. Develop Technical Documentation: Produce detailed schematics, signal flow diagrams, equipment lists, and infrastructure requirements. AutoCAD/Revit experience is a plus. Advise on Emerging Tech: Stay current on AV trends and guide clients toward future-ready solutions. Ensure Seamless Execution: Partner with project managers to ensure smooth handoffs and successful deployments. What You Bring 3-5+ years of AV system design experience, with a strong focus on pre-sales engineering and enterprise-level client engagement. Proven success designing AV solutions for corporate and commercial environments. Expertise in AV platforms and control systems (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Crestron, Q-SYS, Extron, etc.). Experience developing bids and responding to RFPs/RFIs for large-scale AV projects. Strong communication and presentation skillsyou're confident in front of executives and technical teams alike. Proficiency in AV documentation and design tools. CTS-D certification is strongly preferred; CTS or CTS-I also valued.
