Mountain Operations Equipment Operator

Massanutten Resort Job Summary The Mountain Operations Equipment Operator serves as a Ski Maintenance team member to support the development of new ski area infrastructure as well as maintaining existing trails and equipment. Daily tasks include operating and servicing heavy equipment, including, but not limited to excavators, tractors, dozers, tele-handlers, and snow grooming machinery. Other tasks can include snow cat grooming and grounds & facilities maintenance. This position requires the ability to work outside for extended periods in inclement weather conditions while maintaining safety protocol and strong attention to detail. Required Good communication skills Safety-conscious decision making Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on sloped terrain Preferred Heavy equipment operation experience General mechanical aptitude Typical Schedule Days: Varies, weather-dependent; weekends and holidays as needed Hours: Rotating, hours vary including evening and early morning work Core Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment to assist in ski area maintenance and development tasks Perform daily, weekly, and seasonal equipment safety inspections Other duties as assigned by management For more information, contact Gabriel Diaz at 540-###-####.
