Safety Manager Manhattan, NY

The Environmental Safety Manager in Manhattan NYC, NY supports specific project needs by ensuring best practices are implemented, safety compliance requirements are met, and enhance a culture of safety.

• Oversee all aspects of a commercial construction project ensuring OSHA compliance
• Conduct daily safety meetings
• Complete accident reports and conduct accident investigations
• Daily safety audits and inspections
• Operate and maintain air monitoring equipment
• Oversee all subcontractors and contractors

• Bachelors degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred
• OSHA 510 and/or 500 certification strongly preferred
• HAZWOPER 40-Hour certification required
• Proven experience in hazardous waste cleanup, environmental remediation, or similar field operations
• Direct, hands-on use of air monitoring and gas detection equipment (e.g., PID, gas meters)
• Strong working knowledge of construction and environmental safety standards
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
