As a Engineering Project Manager , you will be responsible for project engineering, management and execution of Distributed Control System projects for the domestic water and wastewater industries.

Our Power & Water Solutions business is an industry-leading controls automation company that focuses on providing applications in the renewable (solar, hydro, wind), fossil (natural gas and coal) power generation, and water/wastewater treatment plants sectors. We focus on upgrading existing plant control systems with industry-leading automation controls and instrumentation to promote the sustainability and longevity of our North American power grid, water and wastewater infrastructure.

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

  • Lead the successful execution of impactful projects from kickoff to closeout
  • Cultivate meaningful, long-term relationships with customers and collaborators
  • Champion compliance with all contractual terms, ensuring accountability and excellence
  • Play a key role in growing and mentoring a high-performing engineering team.
  • Keep a close pulse on customer satisfaction, driving continuous improvement and value
  • Drive project timelines by developing and tracking schedules to ensure key achievements are met
  • Anticipate and communicate resource needs early, keeping projects fully supported and on track
  • Monitor project momentum and deliver clear, timely progress updates
  • Keep a sharp eye on budgets and timelines, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope
  • Proactively Manage project scope changes
  • Suggest and develop improvements for products and processes
  • Closely follow and maintain documentation per Emerson's ISO Quality procedures
  • Identify and support opportunities for business growth
  • Provide support to the project pursuits team, marketing, and field team
  • Collaborate with internal partners, A/E firms, and customers to help identify key solutions to customer concerns

You see the big picture, constantly are imagining future scenarios, and build strategies to sustain competitive advantage. You partner with others to get work done.

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Business, or other technical discipline
  • 5+ years of related experience in an engineering environment
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
  • Must be self-motivated and team-oriented
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering
  • Experience in Automation within the water/wastewater, power generation, or other industry
  • Experience with various equipment manufacturers is highly preferred
