Strata-G Solutions is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Technician to join our high-performing team. This role involves assembling, testing, and inspecting cable harnesses, wiring systems, and electrical components in support of mission-critical projects. Key Responsibilities
- Cut, strip, crimp, solder, and terminate wires and cables; apply heat shrink tubing and marker sleeves as required.
- Integrate circuit card assemblies into various chassis and enclosures.
- Identify electrical components and verify inventory of issued materials.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and work order travelers.
- Perform cable and continuity testing; inspect work in progress and completed assemblies for quality compliance.
- Safely operate a variety of fabrication tools such as soldering irons, wire strippers, crimpers, pull testers, heat guns, screwdrivers, and power tools.
- Modify, rework, and reassemble prototype and production assemblies as needed.
- Follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions to complete work accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain safe work practices and adhere to all safety guidelines, including wearing required PPE.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 1-2 years of hands-on experience in cable harness building or electrical assembly.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex wiring schematics, engineering drawings, and technical documents.
- Ability to perform basic math (including fractions, decimals, and basic algebra) for measurements and calculations.
- Strong manual dexterity, attention to detail, and ability to use precision tools.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Physically able to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs., and work in varied positions; must have full range of vision including color perception.
Preferred Qualifications
- IPC/WHMA-A-620 (Cable Harness Assembly Certification).
- J-STD-001 (Soldering Certification).
- IPC-A-610 (Electronic Assemblies Certification).
- Solder certification or proven soldering experience.
- Knowledge of test equipment (DITMO, O-scope, cable testers, etc.).
- Experience in aerospace, defense, missile assembly, or other military hardware environments.
