Description

The Borough of Alburtis is seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join its Public Works Department. This position involves manual labor and skilled tasks related to the maintenance and repair of borough infrastructure, facilities, and public spaces. The Public Works Laborer will assist with roadwork, park maintenance, water and sewer systems, snow removal, and other seasonal operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a commitment to serving the Alburtis community.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance of streets, sidewalks, parks, and borough buildings

Operate light and heavy equipment, including trucks, mowers, and power tools

Assist with water and sewer system repairs and inspections

Conduct snow and ice removal during winter months

Support special projects and emergency response efforts as needed

Follow safety protocols and maintain equipment in good working order

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

Valid Pennsylvania driver's license (CDL preferred)

Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions

Basic mechanical skills and familiarity with tools and equipment

Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when required
