Candidate will be responsible for management and coordination of all new construction and overhaul work in the shipyard in their cognizant area. This includes nuclear and non-nuclear work associated with submarine construction and overhaul.
Should be willing and available to work first, second, or third shifts where needed and extended hours in support of the ships schedule. The selected individual must be able to coordinate tasks involving multiple personnel from various organizations at all levels. Must possess an energetic and positive attitude and be willing to change and develop as requirements of assigned tasks dictate.
They will be required to interface with all trades, test departments, inspection, engineering, RadCon, SupShip, Ship's Force, RPCO and NRRO. Responsible for administration of documents associated with non-nuclear work, such as TIRs, Ripouts, and ERs. They must be able to manage the safety, quality, cost, schedule and continuous improvement of the assigned project. Individual must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with subordinates and supervisors.
QualificationsRequired:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3+ of supervisory experience is required
- At least one of the following:
- 3+ years of shipyard trade supervision experience
- 3+ years of experience in operations or project management in a construction field, military field,planning or construction engineering field

- Prior work experience in department 271
- Critical thinking
