Civil Estimator

Position: Civil Estimator Industry: Civil Construction / Excavation & Grading Employment Type: Full-Time

Overview: We are seeking a skilled Civil Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in estimating costs for civil construction projects, including excavation, grading, and utility installations. This role requires the ability to analyze project plans, collaborate with project teams, and prepare accurate cost estimates to support the bidding process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to develop detailed cost estimates

• Perform quantity takeoffs for excavation, grading, and utility installation projects

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure estimates reflect project requirements

• Maintain and update historical cost data and estimating templates

• Assist in bid preparation, submission, and presentation to clients

• Support the estimating department with project analysis and cost evaluation

Qualifications:

• Experience in civil construction estimating, preferably with excavation, grading, and utility installation projects

• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Excel

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects

Preferred:

• Experience with commercial, residential, or municipal projects

• Familiarity with local subcontractors, suppliers, and construction costs
