**Job Description**
We are looking for a skilled Machine Operator to join our team. This role requires an individual who can perform duties safely, conduct quality checks, and operate machinery efficiently. The position involves various levels of expertise, from basic operation to advanced machine handling and troubleshooting.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform duties in a safe manner.
+ Conduct quality checks using a micrometer.
+ Pull rod from inventory, transfer to staging, and then to rod payoff as required.
+ Operate a forklift and keep rod clean at the end of production.
+ Accurately load rod payoffs with the applicable material.
+ Troubleshoot system issues and understand drawings.
**Essential Skills**
+ 1-3 years of manufacturing experience.
+ 1-3 years of machine operating experience.
+ 1-3 years of assembly experience.
+ Ability to operate a forklift.
+ Proficiency in using a micrometer.
+ Blueprint and mechanical assembly skills.
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 2+ years of experience within a similar manufacturing environment.
+ Forklift operation is a plus; training available onsite if not certified.
+ Ability to lift between 30-50 pounds.
+ Ability to stand for 12 hours at a time.
+ Computer proficiency and ability to use related equipment.
**Work Environment**
The work environment can be dusty, hot in the summer, and cold in the winter. Employees will work with various technologies and equipment, requiring appropriate attire and safety precautions.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
