Crossroads is seeking a full-time Development Manager to work out of our Duxbury office. As part of the Development and Communications team, the Development Manager aids the organization in meeting its ambitious fundraising goals. The primary responsibilities of this role are to manage the development database and donor data, process and acknowledge donations, conduct research and analysis to aid in donor prospecting and stewardship, and organize and execute events and engagement activities sponsored by the development department. This position is based at the Crossroads administrative offices in Duxbury, with remote work options, but typically requires in-office work at least 2-3 days/week. The ideal candidate for the role will excel in project coordination and have strong writing and organizational skills. They will demonstrate finesse in interacting with a variety of constituents, possess valuable experience in project management, and exhibit an ability to manage competing priorities and multiple projects concurrently, each at different stages in their respective timelines. Database Management Manage CRM database (Bloomerang), including donor information, gift processing, revenue tracking, dashboard and report creation, and related tasks. Manage and track matching gifts, stock and donor advised gifts, ACH, monthly giving, and online fundraising platforms. Create, send and track donor acknowledgement letters, invoices, pledge reminders, and other key deliverables. Reconcile gift data monthly with the Finance team. Performs other duties as assigned. Event Management Manage and execute Crossroads annual events, including regional fundraisers, speaker series, and the golf tournament, based on event objectives, key metrics, timeline, and budget. Oversee all development event logistics, including timelines and implementation plans, managing budgets, auction/software management, permits, speaking program/run of show, coordinating vendors and volunteers. Create and update tools to support efficient and accurate oversight of the events program; research and implement event management systems to improve processes and planning. Provide support in implementing the logistics of event committee meetings and calls, including scheduling, preparing materials, setting up room, coordinating food for meetings, etc. Research and Prospect Management Coordinate prospect management process in Bloomerang for Major Gifts Team. Conduct individual prospect research including identifying prospects, compiling and writing profiles, tracking current events involving prospects and donors, and helping to prioritize prospect pool. Conduct research on foundations and corporations to identify potential institutional funding sources. Communications and Marketing Manage donor stewardship and appeal mailings from start to finish; includes production of mailing lists from database, mail merge, printing and mailing. Work with Director of Marketing to maintain the department's promotional and collateral materials (e.g.., banners, tablecloths, brochures, flyers and branded items), as well as the image/digital asset database. Assist in communications projects as needed. Characteristics & Qualifications 3-5 years' professional development and fundraising experience. Experience in managing CRMs or donor management database systems and event management platforms effectively. Excellent computer skills-Excel/Google Sheets expertise. Extreme attention to detail and a passion for accuracy with the ability to achieve results. Superior organizational skills.and ability to successfully manage and execute multiple projects at one time. Ability to build relationships with all levels of management, volunteers, and donors in a professional manner. Self-starter who has the ability to work both independently, as well as in a team environment; ability to take directions well. Strong communication skills. Night and weekend work may be required before and during select events. This hubrid role requires a minimum of 2-3 days per week in the office.
