Our Lift Maintenance team ensures safe and reliable lift operations for our members and guests. Position Overview We're seeking a skilled Tramway Technician to maintain and repair ski lifts, ensuring safe and efficient operation. Ideal candidates are mechanically inclined, proactive problem-solvers who excel both independently and as part of a team. Key Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair ski lift mechanical and electrical systems, including motors, gearboxes, brakes, controls, wiring, and sensors. Inspect lift lines, sheaves, towers, and equipment; perform routine maintenance, adjustments, and replacements. Execute drive and return station maintenance, focusing on machinery inspection, fluid checks, and belt adjustments. Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues promptly; escalate significant issues to the manager. Conduct daily pre-operational and mid-day lift inspections. Accurately complete logs documenting inspections, maintenance, and repairs. Maintain compliance with safety regulations and guidelines. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Knowledge of ANSI B77 and VT tramway codes. Valid driver's license; ability to safely operate ATVs, snowmobiles, and UTVs. Strong mechanical, electrical, and rigging skills. Prior ski industry experience preferred. Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics. Physical Requirements & Work Environment Ability to lift and move 75 lbs. Comfortable working at heights, outdoors, and in harsh winter conditions. Proficient skier or snowboarder capable of navigating all terrain. Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays required.
