**About the Role:**
As a CBRE HVAC Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment for complex commercial HVAC systems by conducting proactive performance testing and ongoing scheduled maintenance.
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
**What Youll Do:**
Lead and Assign Tasks: Delegate responsibilities to team members and ensure accurate completion of all HVAC-related duties.
HVAC System Maintenance: Inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including chillers, cold boxes, air handling units, rooftop units (RTUs), cooling towers, exhaust fans, and VAV systems.
Preventive Maintenance: Perform scheduled PMs on air handlers, cold rooms, and other HVAC components to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Fixing and Diagnostics: Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in HVAC equipment, recommend corrective actions, and implement solutions.
System Monitoring and Compliance: Monitor HVAC system performance and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
Control Systems Expertise: Install, repair, adjust, and calibrate electric or pneumatic control systems used in HVAC and refrigeration systems.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate service records and complete work orders using Office Suite or other CMMS tools.
Teamwork and Coordination: Work closely with site teams and vendors to resolve HVAC-related issues efficiently.
Technical Leadership: Apply deep understanding of HVAC principles to complex assignments, mentor team members, and share expertise across fields.
Communication and Influence: Explain technical information clearly, build consensus, and lead by example in alignment with CBRE RISE values.
Operational Impact: Influence a range of customer, project, and service activities within your team and across related teams, working within broad guidelines and policies.
**What Youll Need:**
+ High School Diploma or equivalent experience, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
+ Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and the ability to carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
+ Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
+ Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
+ In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
+ Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
+ Sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
