Robotic Welding Operator**
**Job Description**
The Robotic Welding Operator is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of robotically automated welding cells. This role is essential in optimizing the workload within the welding department and may expand into a larger team based on demand and performance. Team members will be tasked with setting up, operating, and troubleshooting all automated cells, with opportunities to learn hand welding skills.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate robotic welder.
+ Set up new jobs on all welding cells.
+ Ensure efficient production operation and meet proven job rates.
+ Troubleshoot faults during automated production.
+ Conduct part inspections.
+ Quarantine and label non-conforming parts.
+ Record job progress accurately in both handwritten form and through an ERP system.
+ Recognize weld defects and perform spot checks.
+ Cease production if parts are incorrectly created.
+ Opportunity to learn hand welding skills if desired.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in welding, production welding, machine operation, and Mig welding.
+ Knowledge of robotics, laser technology, and robotic welding operations.
+ Minimum tenure of 6+ months in the most recent position.
+ Consistent job tenure of 1 year or more in an industrial/production environment.
+ 1+ year experience in production, manufacturing, or machine operation.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Preferred experience of 1+ year in setting up robotic welding cells.

**Work Environment**
Work in a large sheet metal facility with heated and air-conditioned warehouses located in an airpark. Hours vary between shifts, with mandatory overtime on Fridays when applicable. Dress code includes steel-toed boots, jeans, and solid color t-shirts in company colors. Welders are supplied with sleeves, and specific shirts are permitted.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lincoln, Nebraska.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
