Traveling Construction Worker Job Description This role involves performing a variety of duties in the complete construction of poultry barns, including dirt work, poured footings, flat work, tying rebar, erection of precast concrete walls, and finishing work. Responsibilities Conduct dirt work and poured footing for construction projects. Perform flat work and tie rebar as required. Erect precast concrete walls and complete finishing work. Utilize hand tools and power tools for construction tasks. Assist in the general labor required for construction of poultry barns. Essential Skills Experience as a construction laborer. Proficiency in concrete work and dirt work. Skills in prefabricated wall erection and poured footings. Competency in carpentry and general construction tasks. Additional Skills & Qualifications Steel erection experience is highly relevant. Concrete finishing skills are advantageous. Prior experience in carpentry and construction is beneficial. Work Environment The work environment is entirely outdoors and requires working through the winter months. Work proceeds as long as temperatures are above 0 and wind speeds are under 20 mph. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Melrose, Minnesota. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
