As a Construction Laborer, a typical day might include the following:
Assisting with construction tasks at new retail locations, including demolition, framing, drywall, flooring, and finish work
Supporting and working with carpenters, electricians, and other trades on-site as needed
Unloading, organizing, and moving construction materials and equipment
Operating hand and power tools safely and efficiently
Installing fixtures, furniture, and displays in accordance with design specifications
Keeping the job site clean, safe, and organized throughout each phase of the project
Following instructions from the Site Supervisor and communicating effectively with the team
Ensuring work meets safety standards and complies with site-specific requirements
Traveling to job sites as needed; some out-of-state work may be required
Other duties as assigned
This job might be for you if you demonstrate the following abilities and meet the following qualifications:
- 1-3 years of general construction or related experience preferred
- Comfortable using hand tools and basic power equipment
- Strong work ethic, physical stamina, and ability to lift heavy materials
- Willingness to work flexible hours and travel to job sites as needed
- Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions with attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of construction site safety protocols
- Experience in retail or commercial construction is a plus
