Duties Description Under the direction of the Park Manager and Maintenance Supervisor 1 at the Harriman Group Camp Field Carpenter Crew, the selected candidate's duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Assisting with repairs on historical cabins located within Harriman State Park which include installing and replacing wood siding, wall sheathing, screens, doors, stairs, landings, decks, and railings.
- Assisting with jacking and leveling cabins and installing new concrete footings and wooden posts.
- Assisting skilled tradespeople with wood framing of walls, decks, and roofs.
- Helping skilled tradespeople with restroom renovations.
- Assisting with basic repairs, installs, renovations, and many other aspects of plumbing under the guidance of the Group Camps plumber.
- This position involves handling multiple projects while working alone as well as in a team setting.
- Adheres to the agency's Code of Conduct Policy and ensure compliance with all guidelines, policies, and procedures in the performance of daily tasks.

Additional Comments OPERATIONAL NEEDS:
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license that allows the candidate to legally operate a motor vehicle in New York State as a term and condition of employment.
- This person will work outside in many different weather conditions.
- Applicant must be physically able to perform medium to heavy physical labor.
