3. Diagnosis machine malfunctions and difficulties. Disassembles, reworks, adjusts, or replaces electrical components of machines or equipment to achieve desired results.

4. Installs and wires control panels, distribution centers, machine tool controls, switches, timing devices and lighting systems.

5. Reads and interprets blueprints, schematics, machine manuals and electrical codes in order to perform safe and effective repairs and installations.

6. Makes emergency repairs when necessary to avoid production delays.

7. Performs layouts of installations. Prepares bills of material and requisitions from engineering specifications. Key Qualifications/Requirements High School diploma or equivalent. Completion of a 4-year apprenticeship program certified by the U.S. Department of Labor. Must have a class III electrical license from the state of Michigan. Must obtain and maintain a valid powered industrial truck operator permit and a State of Michigan Driver's License. Must be able to work with a minimum of supervision and guidance. Requires the use of judgment, organization, initiative, teamwork, creativity, problem solving and commitment to tasks. Must be able to read and interpret electrical schematics and have an understanding of electrical concepts, practices and theory. Must have troubleshooting skills in AC/DC electrical control circuits, transformers, relay logic, LVDT's and programmable logic controllers.
