Job Description:

Role Synopsis:

The purpose of the role is to develop and manage auto OEM and Tier 1 technical and commercial relationships to gain approval and supply of Direct Material products in targeted vehicle applications. These applications include Constant Velocity Joints (CVJ) as well as other specialized on-car lubricant applications. The existing customer portfolio includes both global and regional Auto OEMs and Tier 1 partners.

The role will lead business development across a portfolio of existing customers as well as developing new customer relationships within the sector. These business development activities will be in line with Castrol's market strategy and in service of meeting growth targets. The role will be responsible for the financial performance and strategic delivery for the Direct Materials portfolio.

The role will require both commercial and technical acumen to develop customer opportunities, given the highly specialized nature of the product portfolio.

Key Accountabilities:

Lead business development activities to maximize business position for the market

Manage overall service requirements for region to improve resource time to accelerate growth.

Work with marketing & technology to drive support for new product development plans, providing key market insights on component performance requirements.

Coordinate activities and effectively operate in a matrix organization that crosses regions and departments to steer business development with key accounts in portfolio.

Lead key account activities and strategies in line with market plans, communicate actions across the organization and coordinate execution.

Grow Volume and sales revenue to meet or exceed targets.

Effectively manage pricing across assigned area and in collaboration with other global Castrol regions to maximize returns

Develop high level relationships with all influencing and deciding parties within large accounts.

Provide product line technical support enabling customers to advance product evaluations in support of program approvals.

Improve identification of new potential and conversion using Prospecting and sales pipeline management process

Essential Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in a technical or business field is required.

Bachelor's degree in engineering or chemistry is preferred.

7 years of experience in Business-to-Business Sales / Marketing

Experience in automotive component manufacturing and automotive supply chain relationships.

Knowledge of automotive approval and quality processes (ie; PPAP).

Experience in developing corporate relationships and using them to achieve growth

Knowledge and experience in Industrial manufacturing/assembly is desirable.

How much do we pay (Base)? $103,000 - $191,000

*Note that the pay range listed for this position is a genuinely expected and reasonable estimate of the range of possible base compensation at the time of posting.

This position is eligible for US Benefits - Core. This position offers paid vacation depending on your years of relevant industry experience and will range from 120 - 240 hours of vacation per year for full time employees (60 - 240 hours of vacation per year for part time employees).
