Job Title: RF Systems Design Engineer

Job Description

The RF Systems Design Engineer will perform electronic design, embedded digital and analog design, focusing on RF troubleshooting. Supplementary tasks include electro-mechanical systems, while working in an ISO 9002 environment. This position includes support for test and product troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot RF circuits and systems.
  • Align RF circuits.
  • Design RF systems.
  • Develop digital, embedded, and analog circuit design.
  • Design embedded software.
  • Design and develop test fixtures.
  • Develop LabVIEW design.
  • Coordinate and be responsible for the execution of large or complex projects.
  • Develop conceptual and preliminary designs for new projects and products.
  • Participate in technical discussions with customers and design review meetings.
  • Lead design reviews.
  • Administer electrical and mechanical design input to the engineering department.
  • Develop bid proposals.
  • Guide CAD/CAE efforts within the engineering department.
  • Develop test requirements and/or test procedures with engineering and technicians.
  • Define parts and components used in designs and systems.
  • Collaborate with purchasing, production, quality, and outside suppliers to meet customer requirements.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary failure analysis.
  • Provide support to manufacturing functions to ensure correct procedures are utilized.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior engineers.
  • Adhere to general requirements of team members.

Essential Skills

  • Master's degree in related technical field with three years of relevant work experience or Bachelor's degree with five years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with RF electronic circuit design.
  • Intermediate experience using RF generators, analyzers, and other RF equipment.
  • Intermediate ability to troubleshoot PC hardware.
  • Intermediate ability to specify engineering design tools.
  • Intermediate ability to perform root cause analysis.
  • Intermediate ability in schematic capture and electrical design.
  • Intermediate ability to design embedded systems.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Intermediate ability in electronic circuit design.
  • Intermediate ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Intermediate ability in electronic and electromechanical systems.
  • Intermediate ability to troubleshoot down to the component level for analog, digital, and embedded systems.
  • Intermediate technical writing and documentation skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of analog circuit design.
  • Knowledge of prototyping methods.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to read and write software code.
  • Knowledge of 3-D design tools such as Solid Works.
  • Advanced knowledge of analog and digital electronic circuits and theory.
  • Effective communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Problem-solving and priority-setting abilities.
  • Capacity to provide solutions to complex problems.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt within a rapidly changing environment.

Work Environment

This role involves a split between office and manufacturing settings, working within an ISO 9002 environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $130000.00/yr.

Low Option - Highmark PPO Blue Healthy Savings $3,300
