We have an immediate opening for an experienced Maintenance Projects Supervisor based out of our Hub in Erlanger, Kentucky. This individual will be responsible for supervising a team of skilled trades maintenance technicians, with a focus on fabrication and design of specialized projects. This role will include direct oversite of a team of administrative specialist that manage all Facilities - Material Handling - Sort Systems related spare parts / consumable materials, inventory control processes that require specialized purchasing, receiving and accounting protocols, preventive maintenance scheduling, spare parts inventory cycle counts and readiness disciplines and available to respond to urgent requests whyll ensuring our sort systems and facilities-campus is fully operational with a 100 percent up time efficiency rating. This position will be associated with a high paced work environment.
Summary
Develop and deliver all objectives and policies as they relate to the maintenance environment. Develop plans and programs as requested to meet present and anticipated needs of the Hub operation. Monitor and inspect all associated systems and inventories to ensure that they are fully operational and that preventative maintenance schedules are being followed. Oversee, recommend, and implement system requirements to safeguard the organizational Hub equipment and associated support systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- To provide a daily detailed safety driven communication and business plan.
- Provide detailed directives to our fabrication project maintenance team to ensure all safety and operational related assurances are reviewed and understood.
- Provide specialized oversite and audits of our purchasing protocols to ensure all accounting records are accurate, organized and within our controllable budget oversite,
- Plans, organizes, schedules, and directs the design, maintenance, construction, renovation, and repair of all equipment-tasks associated to the sort systems and facilities.
- Monitor and inspect all associated tooling and equipment to ensure it is fully operational to be safe and in good working order.
- Ensure all safety related training, PPE and certifications are maintained up to date.
- Initiate internal and oversee an audit program as it relates to a defined PM scheduling system.
- Responsible for hiring, coaching, training, and developmental growth of a subordinate staff. Assigns work, sets completion dates, reviews work, and manages performance in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and performance management processes.
- Must have the flexibility to work off shift, weekends & holidays should the business require.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Extensive purchasing and receiving experience to manage a large budget with multiple cost center, to include detailed experience in understanding all related financial terminology data compilation skills.
- An advanced understanding of specific aspects of work supervised and practical application to problems and situations ordinarily encountered.
- Knows and effectively uses fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures relative to quality and productivity improvements, training, budgeting and cost control, and progressive techniques in area of specialization.
- Generally understands basic supervisory approaches for work direction, motivation, and disciplinary action.
- Requires HS Diploma, BS/BA preferred or equivalent technical certifications or life skills as related to duties specific to this role.
- Looking for a minimum of 3-5 years experience in the related fields of responsibilities as described.
- Extensive safety and environmental knowledge in an industrial / automated environment. Prior Environmental audit experience is a plus.
- Must have extensive experience working with MS Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Work Environment: This position will work primarily in a climate controlled facility. To adequately meet the demands and performance standards for this role, candidates must have the ability to: lift up to 75lbs, climb ladders, and stand/walk for moderate durations.
