General Laborer Outdoor Operations**

**Location:** Grimes, Iowa

**Type:** Contract-to-Hire

**Schedule:** MondayFriday, 7:00 AM5:00 PM; Every other Saturday, 7:00 AM12:00 PM

**Pay:** $18/hour

Job Description: Apply now to join as a general laborer at a leading building materials distributor. We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to support daily operations in a fast-paced outdoor environment. This role is ideal for individuals with hands-on experience in construction or production with forklift operation and general labor experience, looking for long-term growth and stability.

**Key Responsibilities**

+ Operate forklifts to move and stage inventory throughout the yard

+ Pull and prepare orders from incoming trucks for dispatch

+ Assist with deliveries by accompanying full-time drivers to client sites

+ Use hand tools for basic tasks and yard maintenance

+ Collaborate with a team of 25+ yard workers to ensure efficient workflow

**Required Skills & Experience**

+ Minimum 6 months of forklift and production experience

+ At least 6 months of working in outdoor environments

+ Basic proficiency with hand tools and framing experience

+ Back ground in construction or general labor preferred

+ Understanding of manufacturing and material handling processes

**Work Environment**

+ Active outdoor and indoor setting with a team of 100+ employees

+ Exposure to varying weather conditions; appropriate attire required

+ Safety gear provided (gloves, glasses, hard hat)

+ Jeans and t-shirt acceptable for daily wear

+ Extended hours may be required during peak seasons

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
