You will be trained by an expert Fountaineer and Designer, as well as become accredited as a Certified Pool Operator. We specialize in water feature design, build, service, and rental serving the North American market. Sapphire Fountains is looking for a full-time Maintenance & Construction Lead to help build, clean and service memorable water features and setup fountains at events and parties. The position is perfect for someone whos not afraid to work hard, and solve technical problems. If youve had experience in the pool industry or doing plumbing type work that would be great, but its not required. If you have a background in technical or engineering type work, that would be valuable.
Responsibilities
The roles and responsibilities of the position include:
Troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing water features
Build and install residential, commercial and rental water features (work with pumps, filters, UV systems, chemical controllers, automation control systems, basic plumbing and electrical, solenoid valves, proximity sensors, )
Assist in all activities related to fountain rental set up and take down
Administrative tasks related to billable hours and project management
Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess the following competencies & qualifications:
Technical problem solving & troubleshooting skills
One year construction experience
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
Clean driving record and current drivers license
Ability to work indoors and outdoors
Comfortable standing and working in water
Own basic construction and repair tools
Willingness to work overtime if needed
Willingness to occasionally drive own vehicle to a job site when needed to areas all along the Wasatch front (a company van is generally available)
Ability to use apps on phone
Willingness to work 7 days/week when required
Additional experience desired (not required):
One year pool and/or plumbing experience preferred
Training at a technical college in automation or industrial maintenance
Familiarity with water systems; pumps, piping, valves, fluid dynamics
Bilingual - Spanish

Pay and Perks:
$ 20.00 - $30.00/hr depending on experience

Flexible with weekly hours according to seasonal demands and big project opportunities. Off season average 30-40 / hrs week Busy season 40-50 hrs/ week. Minimal in office work based on deadlines and not punching a clock
Training & mentoring by Expert Water Feature Designers and Builders
Paid time on Company Holidays (after 3 months on the job)
