Fabricator / Mechanical Assembler Location: Coleshill, Birmingham Pay Rate: 13.00 - 16.00 per hour (depending on experience) Hours: 39 hours per week Shift: Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 2:00pm (includes a 20-minute paid break) Overview We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fabricator / Mechanical Assembler to work on prefabricated modular systems for a major infrastructure project (HS2). The role is based in a modern manufacturing facility in Coleshill and offers long-term, full-time work on a day shift with immediate starts available. This role is ideal for someone with mechanical assembly or light fabrication experience who takes pride in precision, quality, and working as part of a skilled team. Key Duties: Assembling prefabricated modular systems using hand and power tools Reading and interpreting technical and engineering drawings Carrying out basic fabrication tasks such as cutting, drilling, bolting, and fitting Conducting in-process quality checks to ensure accuracy and build quality Following health and safety procedures and working to company standards Maintaining a clean and organised work area Requirements: Previous experience in mechanical assembly or fabrication Ability to confidently read and follow technical drawings or build sheets Skilled in using a variety of hand tools and mechanical equipment Good attention to detail and ability to work to tight tolerances Reliable, punctual, and a good communicator Experience with modular or prefabricated systems is an advantage but not essential What's on Offer: Competitive hourly pay from 13.00 to 16.00 (depending on experience) Fixed day shift - no weekend work 20-minute paid break each day Opportunity to work on high-profile infrastructure projects Ongoing work with potential for permanent employment Supportive team and clean working environment About Workforce Workforce is a trusted provider of recruitment solutions across the Engineering, Technical, and Manufacturing sectors.
