We are looking for a skilled and safety-focused Transportation Equipment Operator II to join our team on 3rd shift.

Work involves responsibility for the skilled, safe and efficient operation of heavy-duty street maintenance and construction equipment entailing considerable manipulative difficulty. Work is distinguished from other related classes by the responsibility for operating such equipment as graders, ditching machines, street sweepers, large frontend loaders, backhoes, rotary snow blowers, vacuum cleaning trucks, concrete mobile, concrete mixer truck, grinder, jet flusher truck and related equipment. An employee in this class operates this type of equipment as a regular assignment more than 50% of their working time and is responsible for operating such equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

Regular Schedule: Sunday to Thursday; 11 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Subject to OT during emergencies.

Summer Schedule (Memorial Day to Labor Day): Sunday through Thursday, 9:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m. (may vary based on seasonal needs)

Qualifications:

• Graduation from high school or equivalent
• Six months of experience in the operation of trucks and construction equipment heavier than pleasure vehicles or pickup trucks
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the desirable knowledge, abilities and skills may be considered.

Necessary Special Requirement:

• Possession of a valid driver's license.
• Possession of a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) and proper endorsements.
