Painter Details
Essential Job Duties:
- Demonstrates skills in preparing paints, preparing painted surfaces, applying paints, wall vinyl, carpet repair, and maintaining equipment, etc.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the use of electrical equipment and other equipment in painting; i.e., ladder fans, paint sprayer, brush, roller, etc
- Demonstrates knowledge of Hospital and department policy and procedures.
- Utilizes appropriate reference material, such as employee handbook, departmental procedures, safety manual, etc.
- Maintains and repairs all buildings inside and outside of the Hospital complex.
- Keeps all sidewalks, entrances, and exits around the Hospital complex free from ice and snow.
- Assists in keeping the maintenance department and tools in clean and orderly condition. Works overtime upon supervisor request and rotates shifts when required.
- Serves where needed during times of emergency and/or vacations. Will be on the stat call list during off normal hours (after 3:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday) to respond to stat calls. Employee will be eligible for stat call benefits as outlined in the Administrative manual.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Functional grasp of standard written and verbal English and basic math.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Painting and wall covering experience required.
- Flexible in schedule to meet demands of the department
