Civil Engineer
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves a combination of office-based and fieldwork tasks, focusing on developing and reviewing detailed site designs and plans. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our team, participating in weekly meetings, and playing a vital role in both communication and project management aspects.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in weekly team meetings to provide task overviews.
  • Develop comprehensive design sets for various projects.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure project alignment.
  • Review and analyze site plans for accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage scheduling and budgeting for projects.
  • Conduct site inspections, spending approximately 5% of time in the field.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in civil engineering, particularly in land development and grading.
  • Proficiency in stormwater design and management.
  • Hands-on experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
  • Ability to design full site plans, including drainage systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in private land development.
  • Ability to interact and communicate with team members effectively.
  • Possession of an Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
Work Environment

The role is predominantly office-based with 95% of the time spent in an office setting and 5% in site inspections. Our office is currently located in Princeton, NJ, with plans to move to Asbury Park, NJ. We offer 24 days of hybrid work flexibility per year, allowing for two days of remote work each month. The firm comprises 150 employees, with 35 based in the Princeton office. Our work environment is non-corporate, offering transparency in career progression and opportunities for growth. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.26 - $83.50/hr.
