Job Description:
We are seeking a Engineering Project Coordinator to manage Nuclear Fuel and Equipment Qualification initiatives. This position offers a unique opportunity to play a significant role in advancing engineering design activities within the nuclear sector. Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary liaison between multiple engineering teams, ensuring seamless coordination of activities for the design control packages.
- Develop and manage detailed schedules that outline project milestones and align task activities within the Plant Delivery design team and across external teams.
- Support the project fiscal year schedule, resource planning, and budget efforts, providing insights on high-level engineering task modifications through collaboration with the project controls organization.
- Facilitate the change approval process for new engineering activities, ensuring adherence to project scheduling standards.
- Break down complex engineering tasks into manageable subtasks for various design teams, aligning schedules with project goals.
- Coordinate and lead technical integration team meetings, providing updates and ensuring progress tracking for team assignments and resource leveling.
- Generate weekly resource forecasts and manage assignment requests, ensuring stakeholder alignment and buy-in from relevant personnel.
- Develop and refine standard design activity sequences to prepare for future design phases and procurement efforts.
- Compile status reports from design teams and manage updates to project reporting platforms, offering periodic progress reports to engineering leadership.
- Identify potential pinch points in resource allocations and timing, proactively addressing conflicts between project priorities.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or higher in a relevant Engineering discipline from an accredited institution, along with 4+ years of direct project management experience.
- PMP certification is preferred.
- Proven experience managing engineering projects within the nuclear field or comparable sectors such as energy, infrastructure, or aerospace.
- Strong technical expertise in schedule management, project reporting, and resource forecasting.
- Familiarity with project management tools like Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Atlassian tools (Confluence and JIRA) is a plus.
- Understanding of design control and configuration control principles is desired.
- Exceptional communication and organization skills, alongside a strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
- Ability to work independently, lead cross-functional teams, and navigate competing project objectives and design constraints.
