Heavy Equipment Mechanic**
**Job Description**
As a Service Technician, you will perform mechanical maintenance and assembly adjustments on heavy construction equipment, lift trucks, road construction machinery, and quarry mining equipment. You should possess hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting capabilities and maintain a professional demeanor with both staff and customers. This non-exempt position involves work performed both in the shop and field under varying conditions. Flexibility to work weekends and overtime is required.

**Responsibilities**
+ Perform machine repair and maintenance services in the shop and at customer sites.
+ Operate and maintain electric and air-powered hand tools.
+ Participate in testing and commissioning products.
+ Conduct pre-startup checks to ensure machines are ready for use.
+ Meet work quality standards using visual and mechanical inspection methods.
+ Operate heavy equipment safely and effectively.
+ Follow established safety procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
+ Dispose of hazardous waste in accordance with health and safety protocols.
+ Troubleshoot equipment using hydraulic and electrical schematics.
+ Complete repair tickets accurately, indicating work completed and needed follow-up.
+ Communicate services and repairs performed to customers professionally.
**Essential Skills**
+ Vocational Training or 2+ years of experience in heavy machinery mechanical services.
+ 2+ years of hydraulic, electrical, and heavy construction equipment experience.
+ Proficiency using heavy machinery diagnostics equipment.
+ Possess own set of tools.
+ Pass pre-employment DOT physical and drug/alcohol screening.
+ Obtain Class B CDL license within the first 60 days of employment.
+ Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High School Diploma or GED.
+ Capability to lift up to 75 pounds without assistance.
+ Ability to perform physical activities such as sitting, standing, twisting, squatting, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
+ Experience working indoors or outdoors under various temperature and weather conditions.
