Painter - 1st Shift Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as a Painter on the 1st shift. The candidate will be responsible for preparing materials for paint and using a wet paint process to paint materials. This role requires performing basic metal preparation for specified paint applications. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work independently while being self-motivated. Responsibilities Inspect incoming parts for flaws or lack of finish and notify supervisor of exceptions. Perform basic metal preparation for specified paint applications. Apply primer to parts and paint in accordance with AMSI and/or customer specifications and requirements under direct supervision. Assist higher-level painters in the preparation and painting process. Provide input on quality, cost, and production issues. Detect defective material, report unusual conditions to supervisor. Explain the location, use, and definition of MSDS. Essential Skills Experience in paint prep and industrial painting. Proficiency in using a spray gun. Ability to work independently with supervision (self-starter/self-motivated). Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to assist higher-level painters. Capability to provide input on quality, cost, and production issues. Skill in detecting defective material and reporting unusual conditions. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work hours are from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, with the potential for an earlier start time of 5:30 am.
