Job Purpose

In this role you will be responsible for planning, implementation, and management over the manufacturing activities in the assigned areas of the plant. In addition, you will ensure the effective use of materials, equipment, and personnel in producing quality products within the assigned budget targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manufactures sufficient quantities of quality products at or below budgeted production costs in order to meet marketplace demand.
  • Follows established procedures and drives continuous improvement (CI)/Lean Mfg. principles in the plant's manufacturing processes, including fabrication, welding, paint and/or assembly.
  • Resolves issues related to the organization's production, machinery, processing and/or packaging operations.
  • Complies with existing business processes and assists in developing sustainable, repeatable, and quantifiable business process improvements.
  • Works closely with Operations and Functional Teams to identify process bottlenecks, conducts root cause analysis and implements process improvements across the business or organization.
  • Utilize tools and methodology to establish procedures and drive continuous improvement in the plant's manufacturing processes, including the assigned areas of Welding, Fabrication and Paint as appropriate.
  • Coach, lead, and mentor employees throughout the assigned area to foster an environment of collaboration and employee development.
  • Coaches project teams to fulfill certification requirements, quality, and process improvement objectives.
  • Initiates and leads projects that improve end-to-end processes: setup, validation, and audit measurement systems to deliver business impact.
  • Accountable for meeting day-to-day and short-term targets by setting priorities for the team and ensuring task completion and coordination of activities between shifts.
  • Takes action to monitor and manage costs related to own work and that of the team.
  • Sets up equipment operation feed, speed, and temperature.
  • Selects and measures raw materials and parts to specifications to prepare for production processing.
  • Resolves issues related to the organization's production, machinery, processing and/or packaging operations.
  • Follow all safety and quality requirements/procedures.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

The annual salary for this role is $63,000 - $84,000 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

Experience Required

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline plus 4 years of manufacturing experience, including some supervisory/management experience.
  • OR Associates degree plus 7 or more years of manufacturing experience, including some supervisory/management experience.
  • OR high school diploma/GED plus 8 or more years of manufacturing experience, including some supervisory/management experience
