Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Stone Mason or Crew to join our dynamic landscape team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in stone and hardscape construction, with the ability to interpret landscape designs and execute high-quality installations of stone walls, patios, walkways, retaining walls, outdoor fireplaces, and other masonry features. This is a hands-on role requiring precision, craftsmanship, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
Construct, install, and repair stone and masonry elements in residential and commercial landscape projects.
Cut and shape natural or manufactured stone using hand and power tools.
Build dry-stacked or mortared stone walls, patios, steps, and retaining features.
Collaborate with the landscape crew to integrate stonework with planting, grading, and other landscape features.
Operate machinery such as skid steers, compactors, and saws as needed.
Ensure work is completed to company standards.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Perform site preparation and basic layout using measuring tools and levels.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in stone masonry, hardscaping, or a related construction field.
Proficiency in working with natural stone, pavers, brick, and block materials.
Ability to read and follow construction drawings and site plans a plus.
Strong understanding of materials, tools, and techniques used in stonework.
Physical stamina to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
OSHA certification or safety training is a plus.
Hourly Rate is based on experience.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with water features outdoor kitchens or custom outdoor living spaces.
Familiarity with grading, drainage, and base preparation.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
