The Project Manager 1 provides support to Fisher BioServices Government operations and assists in leading projects / studies for customers and in the development of workflow processes. Specifically, aids in meeting client requests by actively partnering with all internal parties involved and in leading timelines, landmark tracking and providing weekly updates to the customer. Will be responsible for full management of projects with low complexity, coordinating across all technical and service aspects of a project!
Crucial Duties and Responsibilities
- Works with internal client teams to finalize project specifications.
- Works together with internal Government leadership to ensure that all Fisher BioServices activities come together in a timely manner to meet the customer and study requirements.
- Coordination and communication of all relevant activities, for internal clients to ensure that all services and products are ready for the start of the study or as the need arises by the customer.
- Timely provision of reports and other information to customers if applicable.
- Works to optimize production schedules balancing the customer requirements with the best use of available capacity.
- Develops and/ or supports development of operational documentation using internal systems. Create bill of materials and coordinate creation and review of billing packages.
- Monitors project activities and day to day business and establishes a customer approved job specification.
- Collects all information on a study design including; accurate label texts, coordination of secondary packaging materials and tools, coordination of label production, production/review of all batch documentation for operations, coordination of shipments through the logistics department, and preparing and reviewing GMP documents.
- Applies Good Manufacturing Principles in all areas of responsibility.
- Places Purchase Orders and follows up on outstanding invoices.
- Performs Expense Coding on invoices and performs data entry for cost tracking systems.
- Completes purchase orders, contacts vendors to order supplies, processes invoices, and prepares voucher.
- Provides administrative support to all core staff, including, but not limited to reception duties, data entry, word processing and formatting, spreadsheet management, and filing.
- Assists in setting up and maintaining study filing systems and maintains accurate records for all work undertaken.
- Provides back-up support to the government operations team.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Requires understanding and proficient use of SOPs required by company Quality standards.
- Needs individuals with outstanding interpersonal, planning, verbal, written, and numerical skills and the ability to analyze and define solutions while managing multiple tasks.
- must be a strong and effective communicator to optimally present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and clients.
- Proficiency in fostering client connections; foreseeing, comprehending, and addressing client needs to meet or exceed expectations.
- Ability to learn and master all internal systems associated with projects (i.e. Salesforce, Trackwise, Master Control, IN-TRAK II, BSI).
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED Required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prefer proficiency in appropriate project planning tools e.g. Microsoft Project to communicate achievements and critical path activities and responsibilities.
- Prefer in depth understanding of clinical trials.
- Prefer Certification in Project Management by a recognized institution.
Work Conditions / Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work, on occasion, in a cold environment with exposure to dry ice, liquid nitrogen cryogenics, hazardous and infectious agents, marked changes in temperature.
- must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., on occasion
- Must have the ability use a computer up to 8 hours per day.
- Due to business needs, must be flexible to work varying schedules, hours, and overtime as needed. Travel will be required to Division sites between Rockville and Frederick (will be told in advance).
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Maryland is $53,300.00$80,000.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
